Royalty Review Council provides Song Catalog Financial Due Diligence Services
Los Angeles, California, December 21, 2012 – BMG Rights Management (BMG) announced the acquisition of worldwide right to several music catalogs from Sony ATV and EMI Music Publishing. Titles include songs from Kurt Cobain, Tears for Fears, Iggy Pop, and Human League.
As a condition of its purchase of EMI Music Publishing in June, Sony/ATV Music Publishing had to sell the catalogs. Key titles include “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Come As You Are” and “About A Girl”, as well as “Total Eclipse Of The Heart,” “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” “Everybody Wants to Rule The World, “and Devo’s “Whip It.”
BMG, the fourth-largest music publishing company, said it now has more than one million copyrights under management.
